Relentless action by coastal waters has carved slots through the cliffs along this stretch of Cornwall shoreline. Standing in one of the slots while the tide is out, Godrevy Lighthouse is visible straight ahead under the final light of day. A wave crashes against the rocks upon which the lighthouse sits, a hint of things to come when the tides roars back in.
