Artist's Description

Near the town of Wardner, British Columbia, several paths converge. The Crowsnest Highway, Kootenay River, Canadian Pacific Railway, and even clouds shaped by prevailing winds run along each other here, influenced by the shape of the valley. This route goes past Wardner, once the site of many hopes and speculations during western Canadian expansion, but now known to most travelers simply as a name on a map.
