Description
Henry “12 Foot” Davis was a pioneer, prospector and trader in the Peace River region of northern Alberta, back in the 1800’s. He died just after the turn of the century, and his grave site is right at this spot, with a view out over the town and the Peace River itself. One evening during my visit, the winter sky put on a brilliant display over the unusually ice-free water. The overlook at Davis’ grave site, looking towards the confluence of the Smoky and Peace Rivers, was a pretty fine place to watch the show.
